Caroline Draper works as a freelance illustrator in the suburbs of Chicago. She writes and illustrates her own stories while also producing illustration and fine art work for clients.

As an illustrator, Caroline works to spark the viewer's imagination with humor, wonder, and absurdity, which were featured in her favorite picture books as a kid. Her playful and sometimes odd illustrations are often inspired by ideas that have been lingering in her head ever since she was little.

Caroline grew up in the suburbs of Chicago going on bike rides, mixing mud pies, and building forts with her friends and siblings. At night, when she was not watching movies with her siblings in the attic, she stayed up late letting her imagination run wild on the pages of her sketchbook.

Caroline earned her BFA in illustration at Taylor University in Indiana. She has had her work featured in the Cleve Carney Museum of Art in Glen Ellyn, IL and in the Metcalf Gallery in Upland, IN.
